This 14-page digital guide includes 10 tested traveling twill patterns for decorative broom caps, plus a bonus comparison showing how one pattern behaves with an even reed count
Every design was woven on an actual broom and photographed up close. Each pattern includes:
• The tested reed count used on the photographed broom
• A clear Over and Under sequence
• The total number of reeds in the pattern repeat
• Five additional reed counts to try
• One bonus even-reed comparison
***For reference, I normally weave my broom caps with 1/4-inch flat oval reed. Reed width, spacing, tension, and total count can all affect the finished appearance, so use my counts as your tested starting point and watch the pattern travel around your own broom***
This guide focuses on decorative broom-cap patterns and does not teach complete broom construction. Basic familiarity with attaching and weaving reeds around a broom cap is helpful
