These are the suppliers, tools, and materials I genuinely use in my own broom room…from broomcorn and reed to colorful twine, dyes, and the little things that make the work easier. Whether you’re beginning your own broommaking journey or simply wondering what goes into the brooms I create, these are some of the places and products I’m happy to recommend 💜💜

Caddy Supply Company - My go-to source for broomcorn, handles, wire, tarred twine, knives, and specialty broommaking tools

V. I. Reed & Cane, Inc. - This is where I purchase the reed I use for weaving, plaiting, and creating the decorative caps on many of my brooms. Their reed is consistently smooth and beautiful to work with…it doesn’t splinter or shred and gives me lovely results every time

Estambres - Estambres is the only twine company I use and trust for my brooms. I use La Espiga No. 20 for many of the bases on my hearth brooms and No. 18 for all of my woven caps. Their color selection is phenomenal, shipping is quick, and…if you keep an eye out they have a GREAT sale each year!

Rit Dye - I use Rit to dye both my broomcorn and reed. The results are reliable, the colors are beautiful, and their website has an incredible color-formula chart for mixing shades you can’t buy straight from the bottle

Jacquard Products - I reach for Jacquard when I need SUPER-saturated color—especially deep blacks, rich reds, and gorgeous purples. Their dyes give me the bold, intense shades I can’t always achieve with other products
